TopShopper Remote offers the ability to anyone to conduct e-commerce with little or no programming skills. All the cart software is located on our servers so all you have to do is add a few lines of HTML to your existing web site and your site will have a complete, fully functioning on-line shopping cart.

TopShopper Remote has been developed specifically for small and medium sized enterprises that want an affordable, reliable and easily integrated e-commerce system. It has been developed particularly with UK merchants in mind.

TopShopper Remote is a fully featured shopping cart program that can collect money using eight secure methods. It can request a cheque or invite the shopper to pay by phone. It can link directly to WorldPay©, PayPal©, NOCHEX© , SecPay© or to your own secure server or to our secure server.

2. System Requirements

Development and system requirements

TopShopper Remote is hosted on our servers and therefore requires no resources. It is configured over the Web. The Shopping Cart will run in any browser as straight forward HTML code is used. Links to the cart can be configured and generated on the TopShopper site so that no understanding of HTML is necessary. However, for more complex tasks, some knowledge of HTML would be an advantage.

3. Adding TopShopper to your site

1. Sign up for TopShopper Remote (http://www.topshopper.net/remote/admin/signup.asp)
2. Go to Administration file (http://www.topshopper.net/remote/admin/index.asp) to configure the system.
3. Get some buttons from the Administration area.
4. Open your shop to customers.

4. What the Shopper Sees

The shopper enters your 'shop front' and browses your sales pages. They are invited to add products to their basket/cart with an 'add to basket' graphic like this:- You can generate your own 'Add' buttons if you like.

The Shopping Cart/Basket

Every time they add to their basket/cart the shopper will be directed to a page on the TopShopper site with something like the following included on that page. The background colour, the font face, the font size, font colour and currency symbol are all configurable.

To remove an item, check the 'Cancel Item' box next to the product and press 'Update'. To empty the shopping basket without making a purchase click on 'Empty Basket' button. Select 'Proceed to Checkout' to purchase the item(s) above. You will be asked for your name and address and other contact details. Payment will be arranged when you are happy to go ahead. Postage Costs may be added to orders after choosing the destination country. However, before you commit to payment, you will see the postage/handling charge. 'Continue Shopping' takes you back to the last shopping page visited. If you click on the Product Code you will return to the product page. Please read our Terms and Conditions of Sale.

The shopper has the options as shown. The 'Continue Shopping' link returns the shopper to the page from which they came.

The Checkout

If the Shopper decides to 'proceed to checkout' they be directed to a page with something like following on that page. The background colour, the font face, the font size, font colour and currency symbol are all configurable.

The shopper has the options as shown. The continue shopping link returns the shopper to the page from which they came.

The Invoice

When the Shopper 'submits' their order they see their Invoice. Of course, the header for the invoice will show the merchants details.

The background colour, the font face, the font size, font colour and currency symbol are all configurable. If postage switched on, the amount will be seen at this stage.

When the Shopper accepts their invoice, E-mails are sent to both the shopper and the merchant for further processing. The mailing script will invite the shopper to pay by up to six different ways including credit card. The merchant can configure the system to collect credit card details themselves or redirect to either WorldPay©, PayPal©, SecPay© or NOCHEX©.

The Shopper can also print the invoice for future reference.
